I am attending the University of Maine with a major in Sustainable Agriculture and a minor in Animal Science. I plan to have a sustainable dairy farm after I complete college. Right now I have to be content with gardening out of five gallon buckets, pots, and small patches of our lawn because of my current living situation, but I do pretty well for my needs. I am a farm girl and former 4-H member, I love being around cattle.

In 09 we planted a lot of different things but dealt with blight, late frosts, woodchucks, and aphids. Ended up with: strawberries, cherry tomatoes (Golden Cherry), a few Romas but lost the rest of the tomatoes, Carmen Peppers, Joe's Cayenne Peppers, one Spaghetti Squash, Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans, Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce, Red Lettuce, Sweet Basil, Curled Parsley, Oregano, Stevia, assortment of Radishes, Rhubarb...Hoping to do more in '10 and avoid the mishaps =)
