About Me:
I taught in Waldorf / Steiner schools for 13 years and I'm taking a break - a long one, and enjoying life immensely. We have a permaculture farm in Costa Rica and grow fruits and spices. I have an indoor farm too, raising fungus, yeasts and bacterias, meaning I make tempeh, koji, kombucha and various ferments including kimchi and sourdough - all of which, along with fruit and spices from the farm, we sell at the weekly Farmers' Market. Other than that we do landscaping consultations and manage other people's hobby farms. It's a good, good life.
Interests:
Ooh, lots. At the moment fungus, from the very small aspergillus and rhizopus that help me in the kitchen, to the larger edibles I'm trying to culture on the farm. Other sustainable living folks. The dogs. Moths. Frogs. Wild harvesting of edibles. Living simply.
